Langdon Cliffs Visitor Centre, Dover, Kent

PierceHill was appointed quantity surveyor for this demanding,  ecologically sensitive National Trust project that involved the construction of a new visitor centre, known as 'The Gateway to the White Cliffs', overlooking the Straits of Dover. We arranged and managed an architectural competition on behalf of the client, leading to the selection of the architect for the project. Langdon Cliffs remained open to the public whilst the construction works were carried out.

Wembley Intercontinental Properties,
Wembley Hotel, Wembley, Middlesex

PierceHill was appointed as quantity surveyor and employer’s representative for the conversion of an existing, concrete-framed office block into a four-star hotel. The project involved a ‘turnkey’ operation delivering a fully functional hotel unit with all fixtures, fittings and finishings provided. Regular meetings were convened with the employer to ensure costs, standards and programme targets were being achieved.

Buckmore Park Services
Buckmore Park Leisure Centre, Buckmore Park, Chatham, Kent

PierceHill was appointed as quantity surveyor for this project to provide accommodation and administration blocks for the Scout Association together with a leisure centre for the local community. The architect for the works was Kent Design Partnership. Our scope of services involved negotiation with the Highways Agency for compensation resulting from the compulsory purchase of land upon which the existing facilities were located for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

Coral Stadia
Romford Greyhound Stadium Kennels, Essex

PierceHill was employed as quantity surveyor for the conversion of the undercroft of the junior stand at Romford Stadium into an air-conditioned kennelling facility for 250 dogs. The work was carried out whilst the stadium remained operational. Our work included extensive discussions with veterinarians and dog handlers to ensure the facilities met the high standards demanded by the track operators and racing dog owners.

Salliss Construction
Hollywood Arms, Fulham, London SW10

PierceHill provided a full range of quantity surveying services for the main contractor, Salliss Construction, for the complete refurbishment of the Hollywood Arms public house. The work was completed over two phases with the first phase undertaken whilst the pub was still open. The work included a new extension in the rear garden to provide a new restaurant area.
